On August 27, 2019, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs held a meeting of the Subcommittee on Transport and Logistics of the Committee on International Cooperation. The topic of the meeting was logistics of the international agro-industrial trade.
During the discussion, it was noted that the logistics of international trade in the agricultural industry go beyond the standard technologies and require synchronization of the use of geodata for forecasting and managing logistics with new-generation digital agricultural technologies.
Speakers noted the need for a revision of industry classifiers, the creation of customs and logistics calculators, and the organization of import of data from state portals in order to increase Russian agricultural exports.
The proposals made during the discussion are planned to be announced during the Eurasian Week in Bishkek at the end of September 2019.
